(250419) -- JINHUA, April 19, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Tourists visit a Wuzhou kiln pottery museum in Xili Village of Wuyi County, Jinhua City, east China's Zhejiang Province, April 19, 2025. The Wuzhou kiln pottery boasts a long-lasting development from generation to generation in Jinhua of Zhejiang. Shao Wenli, a representative inheritor of the Wuzhou kiln pottery, set up a Wuzhou kiln pottery workshop in 2009 to inherit and specialize in the Wuzhou kiln pottery firing technique. In the year of 2014, the Wuzhou kiln pottery firing technique was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
In recent years, Shao has led his team to integrate the traditional techniques with modern elements, as a way to inject new vitality into the inheritance of Wuzhou kiln pottery making. In addition, Shao has built a Wuzhou kiln pottery museum with a fusion of inheritance, research and exhibition, which can promote the development of Wuzhou kiln pottery industry and local cultural tourism.
