Xunpu flowery headwear has been a signature of Xunpu Village and was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008.

The beautiful flowery headwears attracted millions of eyes in the cyber world in early 2023, followed by a sustainable tourist boom in the village. Photo-shooting, dining and other hospitality services have diversified the source of income for residents of this small coastal village that used to rely on fishing and mudflat aquaculture.

Since 2025, Xunpu Village has introduced more tourist experience events, such as sea exploration, opera performances, and village sightseeing. These activities have driven the growth of catering, homestays, and related industries, significantly boosting local residents' income. Currently, the village has nearly 300 travel photography studios and receives an average of 20,000 daily tourists. (Xinhua/Xiao Xiao)
