HARBIN, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- On Aug. 17, 2015, the Harbin-Qiqihar railway, Heilongjiang's first high-speed railway, from the provincial capital Harbin to Qiqihar City, was put into operation and became China's northernmost of its kind in operation in the northeastern province of China.

The Harbin-Qiqihar railway marked its 10th anniversary of putting into operation on Sunday. Over the past decade, bullet trains along the railway have safely traveled over 81.89 million km and transported more than 100 million passengers.
