KUNMING, June 20 (Xinhua) -- The 9th China-South Asia Expo opened on Thursday in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province, and will last till June 24.
This year's expo sets a new exhibition area under the theme of "sojourning in Yunnan," offering visitors an immersive experience into Yunnan's lifestyle.
Yunnan has seen a significant surge in popularity as a sojourn destination in recent years. In the first quarter of this year, there are about 2.29 million visitors who chose to sojourn in the province, marking a 56.9 percent year-on-year increase.
