EcoChina | Endangered milu deer thrive in Yancheng, E China's Jiangsu

YANCHENG, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Yancheng City of east China's Jiangsu Province is home to the world's largest milu deer reserve, the largest wild milu deer population in the world, and the world's largest milu deer gene pool.

By the end of 2024, the milu deer population in the Yancheng reserve area had reached over 8,200, accounting for nearly 70 percent of the global milu deer population.
