China's manufacturing PMI dips in October

BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector came in at 51.4 in October, slightly lower from 51.5 in September, the National Bureau of Statistics said Saturday.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction. ■
